January 6, 2017 at 1:36 amCan you use exsisting traditional drop ceiling tile frame, and just replace the tiles? Or is there specific framing for these decorative tiles when making a drop ceiling ?

We wanted to double check with our ceiling tile expert that the drop in tiles can definitely be installed in an existing grid. The most common grid size is 15/16 inch and DecorativeCeilingTiles.net‘s tiles just slide into those grids. You can either remove the existing tiles or slide your new ones right over the old tiles. There is a very small percentage of 9/16 inch grids out there which you can order tiles for but you would need to specify that when you order.
If you do by chance have the 9/16 inch grid, I would recommend speaking with Milan before you order, just to confirm. He is definitely our “go to” guy so if you have any questions at all, do not hesitate to email him directly at info@decorativeceilingtiles.net. We wanted to make sure we had all of our facts straight and confirmed that these styrofoam tiles are not fire rated. But all the real metal tiles and PVC tiles featured are fire rated and usually have fire rating certificates within the product description that can be downloaded.
